The Nokota Horse...
the horse with a history and a future!
Nokota Horses once ran wild in the Little Missouri Badlands, located in southwestern North Dakota. Years of research has traced them back to the buffalo and war horses confiscated by the U.S. government from Chief Sitting Bull of the Sioux Indians when they surrendered at Fort Buford, North Dakota in 1881. Nokota Horses became a registered breed in 1991.
Rockin' Bar H Nokota Horses is located in Arlington, Washington. Dale and Holly Offermann are originally from North Dakota and have been raising Nokota Horses since 1990.
